The site was put together help me to progress with my efforts to learn hieroglyphs, and (perhaps more challenging) to remember what I’ve already learned. I am a member of the GlyphyStudy group, and this site inevitably reflects, or will do, much of our activities over there (with serious thanks to our moderators Karen and Bob and all those who contributed resources to the GlyphStudy group website). The real star of the website is the Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyph Dictionary created by Mark Vygus - a massive resource which he has made available free of charge. One can only thank him most sincerely for his efforts and for providing it for us to use. I am very honoured that he gave me permission to place a copy of it on this site. Please let me know of any new links that would be of use to people learning hieroglyphs - and I am very open for suggestions about how to change the site for the better.
